The Sales Engineer supports sales across both new prospects and existing customers, driving cross-sell, upsell, and renewal opportunities. Success in this role is measured by new customer acquisition, average opportunity value, renewal price increases, upselling and cross-selling results, and overall contribution to the sales team and wider business.

This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence 2–3 days per week.

Expected base salary range
Depending on location and experience of candidate: upto EUR 75,000/year base pay + 20% variable. 

Key Responsibilities 

  1. Support sales teams with solution selling into the prospect account base. 

  1. Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare, and execute strategic deals in complex sales cycles. 

  1. Lead technical discovery and requirements gathering, documenting current- and future-state workflows, solution maps, technical fit, risks, assumptions, and customer success criteria. 

  1. Contribute to sales strategy and support MEDPICC qualification and documentation. 

  1. Build the financial business case for each opportunity, using data and subject-matter expertise to quantify customer value. 

  1. Match customer pain points and requirements to the proposed solution. 

  1. Create and deliver compelling presentations and solution demonstrations that clearly communicate the value proposition. 

  1. Manage all technical aspects of RFP and RFI responses. 

  1. Relay client needs and market intelligence to the product and product marketing teams to inform the product roadmap. 

  1. Coordinate with professional services and internal subject-matter experts to finalize technical scoping for implementation. 

  1. Transition closed-won opportunities to delivery and customer success, including handoff documentation, implementation assumptions, scope, risks, and promised outcomes. 

  1. Help drive continuous improvement through internal projects. 

  1. Contribute to marketing and thought-leadership content such as webinars and blog posts. 

  1. Gather competitive intelligence and position PairSoft effectively against competitors during sales cycles. 

Additional Responsibilities 

  1. Lead or participate in projects as assigned. 

  1. Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, webinars, conferences, and other events. 

Requirements 

Experience & Education 

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher. 

  1. 5+ years of SaaS sales engineering experience. 

  1. Proven track record in software sales and strong technology knowledge. 

  1. Prior experience with PairSoft products is preferred.

  1. Deliver presentations confidently to both executive- and working-level audiences. 

  1. Translate technical features into business benefits, and vice versa. 

  1. Recommend strategic workflows and policies related to product solutions. 

  1. Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. 

  1. Use CRM, sales enablement, presentation, spreadsheet, and collaboration tools effectively. 

  1. Engage stakeholders across finance, procurement, IT, operations, and executive teams. 

  1. Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. 

  1. Work effectively in a high-energy team, receive feedback, and adjust tactics as needed. 

  1. Act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships grounded in customer needs and value creation. 

  1. Demonstrate customer acumen — understanding each customer’s business challenges, technology footprint, growth plans, and competitive landscape. 

  1. Apply MEDPICC and consultative sales approaches. 

  1. Operate as a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a high aptitude for learning. 

Technical Knowledge 

  1. Configure, maintain, and tailor demo environments, including POCs, pilots, workshops, solution validation, and technical win criteria. 

  1. Support technical due diligence across integrations, APIs, SSO, security questionnaires, data flows, ERP connectivity, document capture/OCR, AI, approval automation, and reporting/analytics, as well as implementation feasibility. 

  1. Maintain a foundational understanding of business processes across procurement, finance, accounts payable, payments, accounts receivable, and working capital. 

Other 

  1. Willingness to travel occasionally in support of sales pursuits and marketing events. 

Work & Physical Requirements 

This position may be performed from home and/or an office environment. Office work may require prolonged sitting in an air-conditioned environment, the ability to work alongside others at varying noise levels, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds (15 kg).
